Social Media

My “About Me” page talks a bit about how I became interested in Twitter, but says nothing of the previous experience in social media. I started way back when Prodigy was the “internet.” I remember launching it through a DOS platform. WOW, I’m showing my age. Anyway, from Prodigy to AOL, to MSN, and all the way to Google, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and everything along the way, I have tinkered. I have built profiles, I have caught up with old friends, I have broadcasted job changes and moves, I have networked to find work and sell “stuff,” and I have, above all, grown infinitely smarter by sharing ideas with hundreds (if not thousands) of people who know a lot more than me. Does this make me some sort of “expert?” No. These platforms are free, anyone can learn the things I have learned. But I’ll share what I know with you anyway, and I expect you to share what you know too…deal?
